The photograph taken in 1897 shows the family in 1897 outside the front of Southlaund.

Thomas Outhwaite Hutton and his wife are in the front with Leonard aged seven sitting between them. The tall man in the centre back row is Leonard's father, Matthew Beaumont Parrington. Leonard's mother, Edith Clara Parrington, nee Hutton is at the back on the right, and uncle Earnest Parrington is standing just to the left of the baby.

The others are all members of the family. The photo was most likely taken because the baby Kitts was visiting with her parents. Uncle Earnest lived at Southlaund until he married.
